Our rooms are well resourced with age appropriate resources and furnishings to compliment the education and care provided by our team.

All of our staff have received Pediatric First Aid training which is regularly updated.

Our Baby Room (Ratio 1:3)

Our aim is to create a home away from home for your baby where they can grow and develop in a safe and stimulating environment. Parents and children are warmly welcomed into the Baby Room by our fully qualified and experienced baby room team.

In supporting your babies development there will be lots of opportunity for sensory experiences, heuristic play and schematic learning.

All children starting nursery begin their journey with gradual visits to familiarise themselves with the environment. Parents/carers are invited to join their child for these sessions and each session works towards your child spending longer periods of time in their new room with their nursery carers. During this time your baby and the room staff’s relationship will begin to flourish preparing your child for their first full session.

Each child is an individual and the number of pre-admission visits depends entirely on the needs of each child. Children may only start once they have settled into their new surroundings.

Our Toddler Room -Under 2’s (Ratio 1:3)

Our Toddlers are undergoing an extraordinary stage of development when entering this room. There is a huge amount of curiosity and enquiry which is supported by a rich, stimulating and well planned environment. Children are given indoor and outdoor opportunity to explore and enhance these emerging skills.

Activities are planned to meet the individual requirements of each child. The room promotes independence and self-help skills with support from sensitive adults.

Children are developing cognitively the ability to problem solve and begin to understand how their body works by engaging in physical play, climbing and exploring the environment around them. Communication skills are carefully nurtured encouraging the early signs of each child’s language development.

The room provides quality opportunities to extend children’s individual interests and schematic play.

2-3yrs Rooms (Ratio 1:4)

Between the ages of two and three years, children understand more about the world around them and they begin to use their developing thought processes in relation to their actions. The committed team work diligently to support children’s development of self help skills and growing independence.

Small world play, blocks, sit and ride toys, creative and imaginative play, singing rhymes, messy play and plenty of physical play is available indoors and out providing quality time, space and opportunity for children to explore first hand experiences and practice their newly gained skills.

Our 2-3yrs rooms is generally where children start their toilet training journey. Staff will work in partnership with each parent to ensure this is a fun and successful time for everyone.

Children have the opportunity to extend their play in the conservatory area which offers a rich provision for small group activities and messy play experiences.

Our 3-5 year old children benefit from an extensive variety of resources and activities which are available both indoors as well as outdoors.

We pride ourselves on ensuring that when children leave nursery to move on to school, they do so confidently and independently, whilst taking with them the enjoyment of learning and a pride in their achievements.

We work with our local schools to develop our pre-school educational programme.

As well as time in our fabulous outdoor areas, we also enjoy walks in the local area. Our youngest children are often seen out in our double buggies enjoying the fresh air, as well as the sights and sounds of the local community.

We believe there is no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing, so we ask that parents provide their children with appropriate clothing for all types of weather from wellington boots to sunglasses!
