Diwali Celebrations

Last week we had a fantastic time celebrating Diwali. Our children made some beautiful Rangoli patterns outside in the garden and at our front door for all our families to see. As Diwali is the festival of light we explored colour and light, making our own Diva lights and exploring colour with powder paint. Some of the younger children explored colour through sensory play, coloured sand play and collages. Our older children looked at the meaning of Diwali by exploring a number Hindu stories. Kenyon Hall Pumpkin Picking (Friday 13th October 2017)

On Friday 13th October we had a fabulous trip to Kenyon Hall. It was fantastic to see the children’s faces light up when they caught sight of the huge Pumpkin fields. They were even more excited when they got to pick one to take home. We had a tour around the farm looking at all the fruit and veg that is grown. Our Employee of the Month: October 2017

Well done to Stephanie Massey who is this months Employee of the Month. She received her nominations for going above and beyond in her job role carrying out planning and creating wonderful engaging activities for the children in her own time. Stephanie works within our pre-school room and always leads very engaging activities that challenge and excite the children. She has especially demonstrated this during our recent topic of space chosen as part of the children’s interests. We’d like to congratulate Stephanie for all her hard work in pre-school and we look forward to seeing more fantastic activities
